Mentor Program

Hello and welcome to the Landis Triathlon Club (LTC) mentor program. This is a group of experienced triathletes who are willing to volunteer their time helping LTC members. The goal is to help new athletes with the great range of questions and problems that come from being new to the sport. They are an ear that will listen to problems and a source of valuable information. One thing the mentors are NOT is a free coaching service. These are all athletes who spend a great deal of their time working and training like the rest of us. If you need coaching the LTC has individuals that do an excellent job in this area. Please be respectful in the time you use since it is just as valuable to the mentors as it is to you. We all enjoy racing and our job is to help you have fun and perform to the best of your abilities.

The mentors are divided into different groups depending on their specialties, mainly long course and short course. Short course is sprint to Olympic distance, long course is half Ironman to Full Ironman distance. When you request a mentor please specify which type of racing is of interest to you. At times we also have mentors that can handle special requests, for example if you would like to race Extera or have a female mentor. This is totally dependent on who is avalible at the time of your request.

Please send all requests for mentors to Bill Egan. This is a service for current members ONLY. Thanks for your interest in triathlons and the LTC, hopefully you will learn to enjoy the sport half as much as we do!
